Facelift Model Launch
Increased Battery Capacity
Genesis announced that it will begin full-scale sales of the mid-size electric vehicle GV60 facelift model from the 6th, marking 3 years and 5 months since its launch.
Launched in October 2021, the GV60, Genesis' first dedicated electric vehicle, has transformed with a luxurious interior and exterior design based on the design philosophy of 'Dynamic Elegance.'
The front has been redesigned with a new bumper to give a strong impression, and the side features newly applied '21-inch dark metallic glossy gray wheels' based on 5-spokes and '20-inch light silver wheels.' The rear skid plate matches the body color, emphasizing the GV60's wide and low stance.
The interior incorporates the well-received sophisticated design elements such as the Crystal Sphere shift knob and circular details. A '27-inch integrated wide display' without a bezel between the cluster and AVN screen has been applied to create a luxurious and high-tech atmosphere. Additionally, a newly designed ergonomic '3-spoke steering wheel' and aluminum interior materials with new patterns on the center console and crash pad have been added.
By applying a 4th-generation battery with high energy density, the capacity has increased from the previous 77.4kWh to 84kWh, and improvements in bumper shape and the application of a 3D full under cover have enhanced aerodynamic performance, increasing the single-charge driving range from 451km to 481km (combined, standard 2WD basis).
Battery cooling performance has also been improved, securing the same charging performance of 18 minutes (battery capacity 10%→80%) for 350kW ultra-fast charging as before, and the battery conditioning mode has been enhanced to provide optimal fast charging performance even in cold winter temperatures.
The 'Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0' has been applied, which automatically sets the optimal regenerative braking amount for each driving situation by utilizing various navigation information such as front vehicle flow, driver deceleration patterns, speed cameras, speed bumps, and roundabouts. The existing 'Active Noise Control - Road (ANC-R)' has been improved by reinforcing sound-absorbing materials in the rear seats and cargo area, and enhancing the windshield front sealing structure to increase interior quietness.
The GV60, based on the performance AWD model, delivers powerful performance with a combined maximum output of 360kW (490ps) and maximum torque of 700Nm (71.4kgfm) when boost mode is activated, accelerating from a standstill to 100km/h in just 4.0 seconds (according to laboratory measurements).
Genesis has applied a voice recognition system to the GV60 to enhance usability and supports streaming services that allow users to enjoy various content in the vehicle without connecting separate devices.
The GV60 sales prices, based on electric vehicle tax benefits (excluding electric vehicle purchase subsidies), are 64.9 million KRW for the Standard 2WD, 68.51 million KRW for the Standard AWD, and 72.88 million KRW for the Performance AWD.
Meanwhile, Genesis will operate a special GV60 exhibition at MM Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, from the 7th to the 16th, where visitors can experience the actual vehicle and consult and make purchase contracts.
