Latest Plastic Industry Trends and Technologies on Display
Accelerating Entry into South American Markets Including Mexico
SK Chemicals announced on the 6th that it will participate in 'Plastimagen Mexico 2025,' held for four days from the 11th to the 14th at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City.
Plastimagen is the largest plastics exhibition in South America and one of the world's top five plastics exhibitions. This year, more than 870 companies from 27 countries worldwide will attend to showcase the latest technologies and products. SK Chemicals plans to exhibit its products under the slogan "On-hand solution for sustainable tomorrow" to target the South American market, including Mexico.

The main products include ▲ ECOZEN, a high-heat resistant copolyester made from biomass-derived raw materials such as corn ▲ SKYGREEN, mainly used for cosmetics, food packaging containers, and home appliances due to its transparency and chemical resistance ▲ ECOTRION, a bio-based material used in spandex, artificial leather, and urethane elastic materials.
SK Chemicals will also exhibit a product lineup focused on recyclability, including the circular recycled copolyester 'ECOTRIA CR' produced based on chemical recycling technology, 'SKYPET CR' made from PET material, and 'Claro,' a copolyester that can be classified and recycled as post-consumer PET.
According to the Mexican Plastics Industry Association (ANIPAC, Asociaci?n Nacional de Industrias del Pl?stico), Mexico's chemical industry is highly active, with the plastics industry accounting for 3% of the country's total GDP. SK Chemicals plans to strengthen its approach to the South American market, including Mexico, through participation in this exhibition.
