Hanwha Ocean seeks talent in diverse fields
including design, production, business management, and management support
Hanwha Ocean is launching a large-scale recruitment drive to hire outstanding talent who will lead the future shipbuilding and marine industry.
Hanwha Ocean announced on the 6th that it began the recruitment process for new university graduate employees for the first half of 2025 starting from the 28th of last month. The recruitment is divided into the 'General Track' for those holding or expecting to obtain a bachelor's degree from a four-year university, and the 'Global Challenger Track' for university graduates or expected graduates who possess specialized English skills. The General Track recruitment positions are broadly categorized into four areas: design, production management, business management, and management support. The Global Challenger Track accepts applications for three positions: design, business management, and management support.
The recruitment process proceeds by selecting successful candidates through document screening, followed by the first round of practical interviews and the second round of executive interviews, after which the selected candidates will undergo a two-month internship starting in June. Detailed information about each job category, eligibility criteria, and recruitment schedule can be found on the Hanwha Ocean recruitment information website. The application submission period is until March 23.
Hanwha Ocean recently assigned a total of approximately 500 new employees across departments, including about 300 new graduates and 200 experienced hires. Around 200 were placed in the Merchant Ship Division, about 100 in the Marine Business Division, approximately 100 in the Special Ship Division, and about 100 in research and development and management support roles. Meanwhile, recruitment for production staff, who will be key to operating smart shipyards, is ongoing on a continuous basis.
A Hanwha Ocean representative stated, "We plan to continue various investments and efforts to secure outstanding talent on a large scale, focusing on the four pillars of defense, eco-friendly, offshore wind power, and smart yards."
