Dobong-gu Implements "Birthday Special Leave" System for Public Service Workers
One Paid Day Off During Birthday Month Starting March 6
All public service workers affiliated with Dobong-gu can now take one paid day off during the month of their birthday starting this month.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has established a "Birthday Special Leave" system within the Seoul Dobong-gu Public Service Workers Management Regulations.
The system will be effective from March 6. A total of 185 public service workers, including security guards and environmental officers as specified in the regulations, are eligible for this benefit. For those whose birthdays fall in January or February before the implementation date, the supplementary provision allows them to take one day off in March or April.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "The district is making great efforts to improve the treatment and working environment of public service workers. The establishment of this birthday special leave is part of that effort. Moving forward, we will continue to listen to the voices of public service workers and strive to provide support so that they can take pride in being important members of the organization."
There are various other welfare programs implemented by the district for public service workers. Representative examples include customized welfare point payments, birthday congratulatory money, weekend resorts operation, corporate condo operation, and holiday gift distribution. For public service workers working on the front lines, support such as tetanus vaccination fees and work uniform provision is also provided.
