Gokseong County, 4-H Club Capacity Building Field Trip

Seeking Regional Agricultural Development through Education

Members of the Gokseong County 4-H Club visited the Gimje Rural Convergence Industry Experience Farm on the 5th and participated in hands-on activities cultivating subtropical crops such as bananas. Provided by Gokseong County

Gokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Jo Sangrae), conducted an on-site training and educational tour for the 4-H Association, with over 40 youth and main 4-H members participating, in Gimje and Gunsan on the 5th.

The training focused on strengthening the bond between youth 4-H and the main 4-H headquarters, providing members with opportunities to acquire professional knowledge through field visits, and supporting their growth into professional agricultural managers.

During their visit to the Gimje Rural Convergence Industry Experience Farm, the trainees learned about the cultivation of subtropical crops such as Redhyang, bananas, and papayas, and participated in hands-on activities like making homemade syrup using agricultural products produced in greenhouses.

Kwon Hyungtaek, President of the Gokseong 4-H Federation, said, "This training has become an opportunity for our members to further develop their capabilities, and meeting with senior members provided a time to communicate and contemplate together for the advancement of Gokseong agriculture. We will continue our efforts to ensure that the Gokseong 4-H Association becomes a learning organization that benefits the local community."

Meanwhile, the Gokseong 4-H Association, which embodies the philosophy of intelligence, virtue, labor, and physical fitness in daily life, is organized to foster creative future generations through character development and the cultivation of the agricultural spirit, and to nurture leading agricultural professionals with competitiveness. Currently, 53 members are actively engaged in various fields.
