"Low Birthrate and Aging Population Are Social Issues to Solve Together"… Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, Relay Campaign

Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jae-hyuk) participated in the ‘Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign’ jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare on the 5th.


This campaign was promoted under the slogan, “Let children be happy, youth nurture hope, and the elderly live a fulfilling life in Korea,” aiming to raise social awareness of population decline and aging issues and to spread social interest in population problems.

"Low Birthrate and Aging Population Are Social Issues to Solve Together"… Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, Relay Campaign Lee Jae-hyuk, president of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, is conducting a relay campaign on low birthrate and aging population.

Gyeongbuk Development Corporation joined this campaign upon the nomination of the Eunpyeong-gu Facilities Management Corporation in Seoul and designated the Gyeongbuk Women’s Policy Development Institute as the next campaign participant.


Meanwhile, Gyeongbuk Development Corporation is practicing family-friendly management by implementing a reduced working hours system during childcare periods and operating the child-accompanying workspace ‘GBDC Family Room’ to create an organizational culture where employees can balance work and family. Additionally, it is actively responding to regional extinction by supplying purchased rental housing mainly in areas experiencing population decline.


Lee Jae-hyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, stated, “Low birth rates and aging are social challenges that must be solved together by all of us, not by specific institutions or individuals. I hope this campaign will further raise social interest in population issues.” He added, “Our corporation will also continue to work closely with local communities to address the problems of low birth rates and aging.”
