[Featured Stock] LifeSemantics Rises on Trump's US System Reform Plans to Expand SpaceX Subsidies

Life Semantics is showing strong performance. It is interpreted that this is influenced by news that the U.S. Donald Trump administration is reforming the subsidy system to provide more subsidies to SpaceX.

As of 1:56 PM on the 5th, Life Semantics is trading at 8,040 KRW, up 6.49% compared to the previous day.

According to foreign media, the U.S. Department of Commerce plans to reform the 'Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD)' program, one of former President Joe Biden's achievements. The BEAD program aims to expand internet infrastructure across the United States by providing subsidies to infrastructure installation companies.

Currently, the BEAD program stipulates that state governments can fund 'alternative facilities such as satellite internet' only in areas where fiber optic cable installation is impossible or cost-ineffective. This structure inevitably results in most subsidies going to fiber optic internet providers. However, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo is reported to have instructed her staff to make this program 'technology-neutral.' This means not discriminating against subsidies for facilities other than fiber optics to accelerate infrastructure expansion.

As a result, the subsidies that SpaceX, which provides the satellite internet service 'Starlink,' can receive are expected to increase from the previous $4.1 billion (approximately 5.9745 trillion KRW) to between $10 billion and $20 billion (approximately 14.572 trillion to 29.144 trillion KRW). This means that the benefits SpaceX receives could increase by up to about $15.9 billion (approximately 23.1695 trillion KRW).

Meanwhile, Life Semantics has completed a merger with Sphere Korea, the largest global private aerospace first-tier vendor. Sphere Korea is the only supplier in the Asia region of special alloys, which are key components of technically demanding rocket launch vehicles. Through this merger, Life Semantics will obtain first-tier vendor status.
