Buan-gun Cultural Foundation to Hold '5 Artists Relay' Solo Exhibitions Starting on the 7th

Held at Seokjeong Literature Museum Until the 18th of Next Month

The Buan County Cultural Foundation in North Jeolla Province announced on the 5th that it will hold a series of solo exhibitions by five local artists at the Seokjeong Literature Museum from the 7th of this month to the 18th of next month.

This exhibition features artists Lee Mansu, Oh Hyunyoung, An Mijeong, Jeon Jeongkwon, and Jeon Eunsuk, who were selected for the Buan County Cultural Foundation's 2024 Artist Capacity Building Support Project 'Highlight,' offering a glimpse into diverse genres of artistic expression.

The photo exhibition by photographer Lee Mansu, showcasing people and nature in Byeonsan Peninsula, which is surrounded on three sides by the sea, will run from the 7th to the 14th. Following this, illustrator Oh Hyunyoung's exhibition, filled with warm colors and witty expressions that deliver happy energy to visitors, will be held from the 17th to the 23rd.

Ceramic artist An Mijeong will present works addressing environmental issues through the genre of Arte Povera from the 26th to the 1st of next month. Painter Jeon Jeongkwon will showcase pieces inspired by impressions and feelings from travels, from the 4th to the 10th of next month.

The final exhibition in the relay series will feature pressed flower artist Jeon Eunsuk, presenting the four seasons of Buan expressed through flowers and leaves, from the 12th to the 18th of next month.

A foundation project manager stated, "We hope this series of solo exhibitions will serve as an opportunity for people to take an interest in local artists," adding, "We will continue our efforts to discover Buan artists and foster the local art ecosystem this year as well."
