"Looks Like Pokemon"... A Piece of Cheetos Sold for 130 Million Won

A single piece of snack resembling Pok?mon, which gained worldwide popularity through games and animation, was sold for over 100 million won.

According to the New York Post on the 4th (local time), a single piece of Cheetos snack known by the nickname "Cheetozard" was auctioned off for $87,804 (about 128 million won). Cheetozard (Cheetos + Lizard) became a hot topic for resembling the Pok?mon character "Lizardon" (Charizard) breathing fire.

The product is a 3-inch (7.6 cm) long piece from the red and spicy flavored Cheetos (Cheetos Flamin' Hot). It was discovered years ago at a famous auction house in Pennsylvania, USA, and preserved, then surged in popularity after becoming a social media sensation in the latter half of last year. The auction started at $250 on February 11, surpassed $10,000 on March 1, and was sold for $72,000 on the 2nd. Including the buyer's premium, the final sale price was confirmed at $87,804 (128 million won). The Cheetozard is attached to a square-shaped Pok?mon card and sealed to prevent decay.
