Gwangju Dong-gu to Recruit 60 Participants for 'Mobile Healthcare' Program

Personalized Health Consultations via Mobile Devices for Residents and Workers Aged 19 to 65

Gwangju Dong-gu (District Chief Lim Taek) announced on the 5th that it is recruiting participants for the '2025 Mobile Healthcare Project' to improve residents' health behaviors and self-health management abilities.

This project provides personalized health consultations via mobile devices to residents with health risk factors, conducted by public health center experts (nurses, nutritionists, and exercise specialists).

The project will select 60 participants. Eligible applicants are local residents or workers aged 19 to under 65, with priority given to those with more health risk factors (blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, waist circumference, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol). However, those with hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia, and those whose personal smartphones are incompatible with the mobile app, are restricted from participating.

Selected participants will be provided with a wrist-type smartwatch and will receive health checkups and personalized health consultations for six months. Those interested in participating can inquire and apply at the Health Project Division of Dong-gu Public Health Center.

Lim Taek, the district chief, said, "With the transition to the digital era, the importance of non-face-to-face health management has increased," and added, "We hope that through the public health center's mobile healthcare project, residents will be able to manage their health easily anytime and anywhere."
