Improving the Quality of Public Services
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 5th that it has been selected as an "Excellent Institution," the highest rating, in the 2024 Data-Driven Administration Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety evaluated the level of data-driven administration implementation at 679 institutions based on 10 detailed indicators in three areas: data analysis and utilization, sharing, and management systems.
Suncheon City scored 94.5 points and was selected as an excellent institution among local governments for the second consecutive year.
In particular, the city achieved outstanding results in data analysis and utilization, such as identifying optimal locations for crime prevention CCTV installation and enhancing citizen safety, and also received high marks for its data sharing registration and management systems.
A city official stated, "Rather than simply being selected as an excellent institution, the greater achievement is establishing relevant systems and systematically utilizing data in administration, thereby fostering a data-driven organizational culture."
Meanwhile, Suncheon City plans to set and systematically pursue 11 tasks in 2025 to further promote data-driven administration.
