Busan and Haeundae Bumin Hospitals were included in the "2025 World's Best Hospitals 250" list announced by the globally authoritative Newsweek.
In this evaluation, compared to last year, Busan Bumin Hospital ranked 115th, up from 121st, and Haeundae Bumin Hospital ranked 92nd, up from 100th.
Newsweek collaborated with the global research firm Statista to announce the 2025 World's Best Hospitals rankings based on recommendations and satisfaction from medical professionals and patients in 30 countries.
The evaluation criteria include surveys of doctors, health professionals, and hospital administrators (40%), medical performance indicators (37.5%), patient satisfaction surveys (17.5%), and self-assessments (PROMs) (5%).
Bumin Hospitals (Busan, Haeundae, Seoul) have been recognized for their high medical standards, having received the highest grade (Grade 1) in both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease appropriateness evaluations conducted by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service. Additionally, Busan Bumin Hospital earned Grade 1 in preventive antibiotic use for surgery and secondary blood transfusion appropriateness evaluations.
