According to the Goryeoin Village on the 5th, Moon is a Goryeoin painter representing Central Asia, and his works, which uniquely blend the traditional culture of the Korean people with Central Asian culture, are gaining worldwide popularity.
This special exhibition will feature original paintings that vividly depict scenes from Korean folktales. Moon's works reinterpret traditional themes with a modern sensibility, and are expected to offer visitors a unique and moving experience. The Goryeoin Village also plans to provide a special program for visitors to the Moon Viktor Art Museum, where they can experience the illustration creation process firsthand.
Moon stated, "Korean folktales deeply move both children and adults," and added, "Through illustrations reinterpreted from the Goryeoin perspective, I want to shed new light on the beauty of the Korean people's traditional culture." He also emphasized that he is putting extra effort into his work, as the lessons and symbols contained in folktales are still relevant today.
