Jeollanam-do is promoting a public call for local universities to participate in the 'Jeonnam-type Regional Innovation-centered University Support System (RISE)' aimed at fostering mutual growth between the region and universities.
The RISE project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of universities in the province and nurture talent needed by the region, thereby establishing a sustainable ecosystem for regional development.
Jeollanam-do will recruit participating universities until the 21st, conduct evaluations through a review committee composed of relevant experts in April, and announce the final selection results in May after consulting and adjusting the project plans.
This call is open to any university located in Jeollanam-do under the Higher Education Act. Universities may apply individually or as a consortium by submitting a business plan to the Jeonnam RISE Center.
Kang Jongcheol, Director of Talent Development and Education at Jeollanam-do, said, "This year will be an important year as an innovative change called RISE begins in Jeollanam-do," and added, "We ask for active participation not only from universities in the province but also from companies, research institutions, and other innovation stakeholders."
