‘RISE US Quantum Computing ETF’ Launches on the 11th

KB Asset Management announced that it held the 'RISE Invitation' featuring the CEO of Rigetti Computing, a dark horse in the quantum computing industry, marking the first time a domestic asset management company has hosted such an event.

The 'RISE Invitation' on the RISE ETF YouTube channel has been gaining attention through a series of interviews with prominent figures such as Shin Min-cheol, president of Korea's leading bio company Celltrion, and Won River, a pharmaceutical and bio YouTuber. The event was organized to introduce individual investors to quantum computing technology and Rigetti Computing's business model in relation to the upcoming launch of the ‘RISE US Quantum Computing ETF’ scheduled for the 11th.

Quantum computing offers computational speeds far superior to traditional computers. It is regarded as a breakthrough technology applicable across various industries including artificial intelligence (AI), big data, new drug development, and financial modeling.

Rigetti Computing, founded in the United States in 2013, is a quantum computing company known for its strategy of building a full-stack quantum computing platform covering both hardware and software. It provides cloud services utilizing quantum algorithms and is fostering a commercial quantum computing ecosystem.

Subodh Kulkarni, who was appointed CEO of Rigetti Computing at the end of 2022, is a veteran executive with over 30 years of extensive experience in the semiconductor and advanced technology industries. His key management goals include developing and scaling full-stack hybrid quantum computing technology and leading innovation in quantum technology.

In a video interview format, CEO Kulkarni emphasized Rigetti Computing’s differentiators, its role in the quantum computing value chain, the advantages of a chiplet-based approach, and the major challenges in scaling quantum computing. The interview with CEO Kulkarni is scheduled to be released on the RISE ETF YouTube channel in mid-March.

KB Asset Management will launch the ‘RISE US Quantum Computing ETF’ on the US stock market on the 11th, investing in major quantum computing-related companies. The key holdings include quantum computing firms such as Rigetti Computing and IonQ, as well as big tech companies leading quantum computing technology development like Google, IBM, and Microsoft.

No Ah-reum, head of the ETF Business Division at KB Asset Management, stated, "Through the RISE Invitation, we plan to vividly convey the growth potential and investment opportunities of the quantum computing industry to investors," adding, "We will continue to invite experts from various fields to provide valuable information to investors."
