Samsung Electronics is partnering with the Overseas Construction Association to support B2B solutions utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), such as 'SmartThings Pro,' to help Korean construction companies expand overseas.

On the 5th, Samsung Electronics signed a business agreement with the Overseas Construction Association to establish a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the order-winning competitiveness of domestic construction companies and expanding Samsung Electronics' overseas B2B business.

The signing ceremony held at the Overseas Construction Association in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Hong Beom-seok, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' B2B Integrated Offering Center, and Han Man-hee, Chairman of the Overseas Construction Association.

Samsung Electronics plans to use 'SmartThings Pro' and the Overseas Construction Association's 'Convergence K-City Platform' to help expand the overseas export routes of Korean construction companies to over 160 countries. Samsung Electronics' 'SmartThings Pro' is an AI B2B solution that integrates various devices, solutions, and services?from residential facilities to office buildings and commercial facilities?providing efficient energy savings and integrated space management tailored to business customers. The Overseas Construction Association's 'Convergence K-City Platform' is a new service set to be launched this month, designed to support domestic companies in combining Korean smart technologies in overseas projects and collaborating to develop differentiated cities.

Samsung Electronics and the Overseas Construction Association plan to expand various supports, including joint marketing with overseas companies, order support through visits to Samsung Electronics' global B2B integrated showrooms, and granting certification marks for the application of Samsung Electronics' AI B2B solutions. As a result, Korean construction companies are expected to enhance their order-winning competitiveness by applying Samsung Electronics' HVAC, home appliances, signage, and other solutions in overseas urban development projects.

Hong Beom-seok, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' B2B Integrated Offering Center, said, "This agreement is not just a simple business pact but a significant turning point for our companies' overseas expansion. We will actively pursue not only the pioneering of overseas markets by our companies but also the expansion of Samsung Electronics' global B2B business, including AI solutions."

Han Man-hee, Chairman of the Overseas Construction Association, stated, "Overseas projects present opportunities and potential markets not only for domestic construction companies but also for companies in various fields. Through cooperation with Samsung Electronics and the 'Convergence K-City Platform' in the global market, we will actively support strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies."
