Gyeongsan City in Gyeongbuk Province will provide school uniform purchase support to about 4,000 new middle and high school students in Gyeongsan City, with a total budget of 1.2 billion KRW fully funded by the Gyeongsan City budget.
Gyeongsan City provides support for school uniform purchase expenses to new middle and high school students.
The support targets are new students who have their resident registration in Gyeongsan City as of March 4, 2025, and are entering schools that require uniforms, as well as first-grade students who have transferred to such schools.
The application period is from March 4 to November 28. Students attending schools within the city can apply through their current school, while students attending schools outside the city can apply at their local town or township office.
The support amount is 300,000 KRW per person, and after reviewing resident registration and duplicate support status, payments will be made sequentially starting in May.
Mayor Jo Hyun-il said, “We hope this small support will ease the burden of private education expenses for parents and make the path for students to pursue their dreams even brighter,” adding, “We will continue to strive to develop practical education support policies that both students and parents can feel.”
