The briefing sessions will be conducted at the meetings of the heads of villages and neighborhoods in each eup, myeon, and dong.

The newly introduced farmland-related systems this year include △ introduction of rural stay-type rest areas △ conversion of farm sheds into rest areas △ legalization of illegal farm sheds △ farmland improvement reporting system. The briefing focuses on reducing confusion in legal interpretation and clearly conveying the core content.

The main explanation points for each system are △ the concept of rural stay-type rest areas, installation entities, installation targets and restricted farmland, and obligations △ targets and procedures for converting existing farm sheds into rest areas △ criteria for legalization of illegal farm sheds △ pre-implementation requirements and whether reporting is required for the farmland improvement (embankment and cutting) reporting system.

Since January, Yeongju City has installed banners along major roads to promote the introduction of rural stay-type rest areas and the farmland improvement reporting system. Additionally, from March, a large-scale promotion using electronic display boards is planned.

Kang Sung-yoon, Head of the Permit Division, said, “We planned this visiting briefing session to explain the newly introduced farmland-related systems in 2025 to the heads of villages and neighborhoods so that citizens can easily receive the key information,” and added, “We expect this briefing session to greatly contribute to increasing citizens’ understanding.”

For related information, inquiries can be made to the Farmland and Forestry Team of the Permit Division in Yeongju City, where the responsible officials will provide detailed guidance.
