Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 4th that it held the '2026 Local Extinction Response Fund Discovery Project Briefing' at the county office's government meeting room.

Presided over by Deputy Governor Jeong Young-cheol, the briefing was attended by 16 senior officials and was organized to discover projects for the local extinction response fund to address the crisis of population decline.

During the briefing, various opinions were exchanged regarding customized project promotion plans considering regional characteristics. Additionally, the consulting firm provided a project explanation and presented directions for establishing investment plans.

Sancheong-gun plans to establish tailored investment plans focusing on culture and tourism, expanding the resident population, and improving living conditions to boost population vitality and achieve continuous results.

A Sancheong-gun official stated, “We will develop differentiated investment plans utilizing the unique strengths of Sancheong-gun,” and added, “We will do our best to secure the local extinction response fund.”
