Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, will expand his public activities by meeting university students on the 6th.
According to a spokesperson for former leader Han, he has been invited as the first speaker for the '2025 University Student Current Affairs Forum,' organized by the 'Joint Student Council Forum,' a coalition of student councils from eight universities including Yonsei University and Korea University, in Sinchon, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 6th.
It was explained that after internal discussions within the Joint Student Council Forum, former leader Han was chosen as the politician they most wanted to hear from. Han will give a lecture on the theme "Republic of Korea, and the Future Generation," followed by a Q&A session with the attending university students. After the lecture, he will have a "Dakgalbi lunch" with the students.
Former leader Han is also planning to conduct a series of lectures visiting universities in regions such as Daegu, Busan, and Chungcheong later this month. Given the situation where the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol might be accepted and an early presidential election held, with Han effectively confirming his candidacy, this move appears to be an early effort to target the youth vote, which has a relatively high proportion of undecided voters compared to other age groups.
Meanwhile, former leader Han resumed his public activities on the 2nd by attending a play related to the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong. On the 5th, he will hold a book concert in Seoul for his book "The People Come First."
