KT Strengthens Benefits with 'Family Connection' for Separate Living in Main Wired and Wireless Bundles

KT announced that starting from the 4th, it will launch the ‘Living Apart but Family Connected’ plan, which allows bundling up to 5 internet and TV lines by revamping its wired and wireless bundled products.

Through this revamp, even if family members live at different residences, they can add more internet and TV bundled lines, and receive an additional discount of up to 5,500 KRW per month when bundling 2 or more lines for 3 years. This enables children who have moved out, newlyweds, elderly parents, and others living separately to enjoy more bundling benefits than before.

As family types have diversified recently, including single-person households, newlyweds, and elderly parent households, the existing wired and wireless bundling method based on one internet line had limitations.

Reflecting these changes, KT expanded the number of internet and TV bundled lines to up to 5, allowing family members at different residences to benefit from communication cost savings by subscribing to bundled products.

For example, when a child who lived with their parents becomes independent, previously they had to subscribe to a separate bundled product. Now, by simply adding internet (Essence) and TV (Slim) lines, they can receive an additional discount of 5,500 KRW per month, totaling about 200,000 KRW over 3 years, compared to subscribing individually.

Furthermore, if 4 households living at different locations bundle together, they can receive an additional discount of up to 22,000 KRW per month for internet and TV, totaling about 800,000 KRW over 3 years, enabling families to enjoy substantial communication cost savings.

Kwon Hee-geun, Head of KT Marketing Innovation Division, said, “By reflecting changing family structures and customer needs, we have expanded the number of internet and TV lines that can be bundled up to 5 lines and provided additional discount benefits.” He added, “We will continue to develop customer-tailored products so that customers can truly feel the effect of communication cost discounts and enhance customer satisfaction.”
