Progress Report Meeting Held for "Visiting Mobile District Mayor's Office" Suggestions
Uichang-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held a progress report meeting on residents' suggestions received through the Uichang-gu "Visiting Mobile District Mayor's Office" at the district mayor's office.
The report meeting, held on February 28 and presided over by Mayor An Jaemun, was attended by about 11 senior officials and others, who reviewed the departmental examination results and current status of measures regarding residents' suggestions and discussed future plans.
The "Visiting Mobile District Mayor's Office" operated in January sequentially visited Dong-eup on the 15th, Daesan-myeon on the 17th, and Buk-myeon on the 20th, explaining Uichang-gu's community-based projects and listening to residents' suggestions on site. A total of 56 suggestions were collected over three days, mainly focusing on community-based projects such as sidewalk maintenance, road paving and expansion, and parking lot construction.
Mayor An personally visited the sites of the suggestions, including ▲maintenance of old roads in No-ok Village ▲painting of the old deck road at Ugok Reservoir ▲creation of a walking trail at Sinri Reservoir in Chunggwang Village ▲remodeling of the Nammosan Village community center, among 15 suggestion sites, meeting the suggesters directly to listen to their difficulties and seek solutions.
Mayor An said, "We will maintain a systematic suggestion management system, including thorough management and feedback provision for residents' valuable opinions," and added, "We will promptly resolve issues that can be handled and seek solutions for those requiring long-term review and budget to alleviate residents' inconveniences."
Meanwhile, in March, Uichang-gu plans to continue communication with residents by operating the "Visiting Mobile District Mayor's Office" targeting four areas: Uichang-dong, Myeonggok-dong, Pallyong-dong, and Bongnim-dong.
