Samsung and LG Begin Pre-Summer Air Conditioner Pre-Inspection Services
AI Technology Enables Convenient Self-Checks and Remote Diagnostics
Free Inspection Campaigns and Discounted Cleaning Services Offered
Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are starting their summer preparations. From this month, they will begin the 'Air Conditioner Pre-Inspection' service.
Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the air conditioner pre-inspection service from the 4th of this month until the 20th of next month. The 'Air Conditioner Pre-Inspection' service allows customers to perform a self-check of their air conditioners, and if any issues are found, they can request a service visit where professional engineers will systematically inspect the product.

The items that require self-check before applying for the service are simple: ▲checking power connection ▲cleaning the indoor unit dust filter ▲organizing the area around the outdoor unit ▲testing the air conditioner operation. By following the video content posted on the Samsung Electronics Service website, customers can easily and conveniently perform the air conditioner self-check.
Especially this year, to help customers check the condition of their air conditioners more easily and conveniently, remote inspections will be significantly expanded. Samsung Electronics will focus on deploying self-checks using its differentiated technology, the 'SmartThings AI Diagnosis,' before summer arrives.
First, customers using SmartThings will receive an 'Air Conditioner AI Diagnosis Push Notification' on their smartphones. When the customer taps the notification, the 'AI Diagnosis Function' of the Samsung Electronics air conditioner linked with the app will run, comprehensively diagnosing ▲refrigerant amount ▲motor operation status ▲heat exchanger temperature, and providing the results. If additional checks are needed based on the diagnosis, customers can remotely have their products inspected by professional consultants.
Park Sung-je, Head of the Technology Team at Samsung Electronics Service (Executive Director), said, "We will actively promote various campaigns, including the air conditioner pre-inspection service, so that customers can use Samsung Electronics products comfortably."

LG Electronics will also conduct the air conditioner pre-inspection service from the 10th of this month until the 30th of next month.
The service is based on the 'LG SMART CHECK' app, which utilizes AI technology. Professional engineers visit customers' homes to thoroughly inspect ▲cooling performance ▲refrigerant status ▲power and wiring connections ▲filter and drainage hose hygiene.
The 'LG SMART CHECK' app connects wirelessly to the product and can control parts without disassembling the product for inspection. It also analyzes real-time operation information and past data to provide faster and more accurate diagnostics.
Pre-inspection can be applied for through the LG Electronics website or customer center. If applied for by the 30th of next month, travel and inspection fees are free, but additional costs may occur if parts replacement or refrigerant injection is necessary.
Before applying for the pre-inspection, customers can also perform a self-check using the 'Smart Diagnosis' service in the LG ThinQ app. This AI service diagnoses abnormalities by checking the operation status of key parts such as the inverter, fan motor, compressor, pressure, temperature, and current sensors, as well as the refrigerant status.
For customers needing air conditioner cleaning services, the 'LG Best Care Campaign' offers discounted rates until the 30th of next month. Services include ▲internal and filter cleaning of air conditioners ▲high-pressure cleaning of heat exchangers ▲steam sterilization. Household air conditioners receive a 10% discount on the existing cleaning service fee, and system ceiling-type air conditioners receive up to a 20% discount. For system ceiling-type air conditioners, customers can contact the B2B customer center.
Jung Yeon-chae, Vice President and Head of Customer Value Innovation Division at LG Electronics, said, "We will provide differentiated customer experiences through AI-powered pre-inspection services so that customers can spend the hot summer comfortably."
