Lawyer: "Husband Was a Perverted Scrooge of Sexual Hell"
Demanded Excessive Sex and Did Not Provide Minimum Living Expenses
A story has emerged about a woman who divorced due to her remarried husband's perverted sexual demands. It was reported that the husband frequently demanded sexual relations even though the woman was in a fractured condition.
On the 28th of last month, YTN Radio's "Wise Radio Life" introduced the story of Ms. A, who remarried after divorce but filed for divorce again due to issues with sexual life and financial reasons.
Ms. A's remarried husband was financially well-off and older than her. Jo In-seop, lead attorney at Shinsegye Law Firm, said, "Ms. A had the expectation that her much older husband would embrace her with a generous heart."
However, the remarried life was different from her expectations. The husband did not allow heating even in subzero weather and excessively economized on electricity and water bills. He even checked every receipt when Ms. A went grocery shopping.
Moreover, the biggest problem was their sexual life. Attorney Jo described Ms. A's husband as a "perverted Scrooge of sexual hell."
Attorney Jo said, "Ms. A was older and in poor health, having fractured her foot by stepping incorrectly, yet her husband demanded sexual relations every other day. Furthermore, he demanded perverted sexual acts, which she could not tolerate, leading her to decide on divorce after five years of remarriage."
However, the husband refused the divorce, which eventually led to a lawsuit, and the matter was settled through divorce mediation.
Attorney Jo explained, "Forcing sexual relations despite justifiable reasons can be grounds for divorce in court. Conversely, refusing sexual relations for a long period without justifiable reasons is also grounds for divorce in court."
He also stated that financial conditions, such as not providing enough money to make daily life difficult, are included as reasons for divorce. Attorney Jo said, "Ms. A's husband gave her an amount that did not even meet the minimum living expenses. It was impossible to maintain daily life, and in such cases, it is difficult to sustain the marriage."
Attorney Jo added, "In cases I have handled, there was even a case where the husband gave only 500,000 won per month for living expenses."
Furthermore, he said, "Thanks to the stingy husband, Ms. A saved on living expenses, so she contributed to maintaining her husband's assets to some extent." Although the division ratio will be reduced compared to a first marriage, he explained that property division is still possible in a divorce trial.
