Strengthening Its Position as a Trusted Regional Base Hospital
Maintaining Accredited Medical Institution Status Until December 22, 2028
Namyangju Baek Hospital in Gyeonggi announced on the 2nd that it has officially been recognized for excellence in patient safety and Quality & Patient Safety (QPS) management by obtaining the 4th cycle medical institution accreditation supervised by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Through this accreditation, Namyangju Baek Hospital has further strengthened its position as a trusted regional base hospital.
The medical institution accreditation system is a program under the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Healthcare Accreditation and Evaluation Institute that evaluates hospitals on patient safety and quality of medical services, granting accreditation to institutions that meet certain standards. The 4th cycle evaluation focused on ▲patient safety management ▲improvement of medical quality ▲infection prevention ▲facility and equipment management ▲compliance with standard treatment processes.
Through this accreditation, Namyangju Baek Hospital has officially proven that it has established a safe medical environment and a systematic treatment system. Baek Hospital stated that it will use this accreditation as an opportunity to introduce cutting-edge medical technologies to provide differentiated medical services and offer higher-level medical services to patients through continuous internal evaluations and medical service improvement activities.
Operating the Namyangju City-designated dementia center, the hospital provides early diagnosis and customized treatment for dementia, and has introduced AICC (Artificial Intelligence-based Continuous Patient Care) to monitor the health status of chronic disease patients in real time to support optimal treatment. Additionally, it has implemented AI-based chest X-ray and breast cancer screening systems to strengthen early diagnosis of lung diseases and breast cancer.
In particular, the AICC system analyzes patients’ health data in real time to assist medical staff in providing prompt and accurate treatment, further enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of medical services.
Choi Seon-jong, director of Namyangju Baek Hospital, said, “Through this 4th cycle medical institution accreditation, we have once again proven that our hospital’s medical services meet a high level of official recognition,” and added, “We will continue to prioritize patient safety and quality of treatment and strive for continuous improvement in medical services.”
Namyangju Baek Hospital plans to further strengthen the quality of medical services through this accreditation and establish itself as a hospital where local residents can visit with confidence. With this accreditation, Namyangju Baek Hospital will maintain its status as an accredited medical institution from December 23, 2024, to December 22, 2028.
