On the 3rd (local time), Samsung Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will unveil the new Galaxy A series with artificial intelligence (AI) features, the 'Galaxy A36 5G' and 'Galaxy A56 5G,' at the 'Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25)' opening in Barcelona, Spain.
The new Galaxy A series to be unveiled this time plans to lead the popularization of AI experiences by applying mobile AI called 'Awesome Intelligence.' Both models offer various AI-based features such as 'Circle to Search,' 'Edit Suggestion,' and 'Object Eraser,' which were applied to the Galaxy S25 series. The new Galaxy A series will be sequentially released in the global market starting at the end of March.
The 'Galaxy A56 5G' will feature Samsung's in-house developed 'Exynos 1580' processor, while the 'Galaxy A36 5G' will include the 'Snapdragon 6 Gen 3' processor. Both models adopt a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, providing an immersive entertainment experience.
At MWC25, Samsung Electronics plans to set up various Galaxy AI feature experience zones along with the exhibition of the Galaxy A series and the 'Galaxy S25 series.' The 'Galaxy S25 Edge,' which received great response at the 'Galaxy Unpacked 2025' in January, will also be exhibited, along with the first Android XR headset, 'Project Moohan.' Visitors will be able to directly experience innovative AI features such as 'Gemini Live,' 'Circle to Search,' 'Now Brief,' and 'Now Bar.'
Additionally, Samsung Electronics plans to showcase AI-based network solutions through a separate B2B exhibition hall. In particular, the 'AI Energy Saving Automation Solution' can improve network energy efficiency by up to 35% by utilizing advanced AI models and analytical algorithms. It will also present various 5G specialized network usage scenarios in fields such as manufacturing, construction, transportation, and education.
