David Sacks to Host
Keynote Speech by Donald Trump
The White House announced on the 28th that it will hold the first-ever 'Cryptocurrency Summit' on the 7th (local time), attended by founders, CEOs, and investors from the cryptocurrency industry.
At this summit, David Sacks, the White House's chief of cryptocurrency, will serve as the host, and President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech, the White House explained. The White House stated, "The previous administration unfairly prosecuted the digital asset sector, but President Trump's policy vision reflects a new era of digital financial technology," adding, "The Trump administration is committed to providing a clear regulatory framework, enabling innovation, and protecting economic freedom."
President Trump, who expressed a pro-cryptocurrency stance during the presidential election, is expected to announce cryptocurrency promotion measures in his summit speech. Shortly after taking office in January, President Trump signed an executive order establishing a cryptocurrency task force. The task force will draft a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and submit a report containing legislative proposals, including an evaluation of measures to stockpile digital assets at the national level.
