The committee held a kickoff meeting near the accident site this morning to discuss the operation schedule and future plans. They then participated in a joint on-site inspection led by the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency to begin the full-scale investigation.

The scope of the investigation includes not only site analysis but also reviewing design documents and hearing from related parties. Through this, they plan to identify the cause of the accident and establish measures to prevent recurrence.

On the 25th, at the Seoul-Sejong Expressway construction site in Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province, four girders (steel beams connecting horizontally above columns) being installed on a pier collapsed, causing 10 workers working on the bridge to fall. Four workers died and six were injured.
