Up to KRW 1.55 Million Per Month Per Person
Provided to Workplaces Offering Youth Internship Opportunities
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting workplaces to participate in the 2025 Youth Work Experience Program, ‘Yangsan Pre-Job Project,’ from February 25 to March 21.
Started in 2021 and now in its fifth year, the ‘Yangsan Pre-Job Project’ is a program that matches local workplaces with unemployed youth in the city to provide work experience, aiming to enhance the employment capabilities of local youth and create linked employment opportunities.
The recruitment target is companies and organizations located in Yangsan City that intend to newly hire local youth. They must be able to hire youth for at least three months, provide practical job experience that improves work skills, and offer job experiences that can be linked to employment.
Some industries such as lodging and pubs, simple tasks like serving, customer service, and office assistance, as well as jobs related to workplace security, are restricted from participation and support.
Workplaces that provide work experience to youth will receive a youth work experience allowance (KRW 1.5 million per person per month) and a corporate mentor allowance (KRW 50,000 per person per month). In 2024, support was divided into labor costs, snack expenses, and social insurance fees, but from this year, it has changed to a fixed allowance payment. The support period is up to three months, shortened from the previous five months, but each workplace can support up to two youth.
While the final selection after workplace and youth matching remains the same, the matching method and procedure have changed.
In 2024, Yangsan City conducted an interview screening called ‘Meeting Day (Matching Day)’ once a year to match workplaces and youth, and workplaces that were not matched were disqualified. However, this year, after announcing youth recruitment, the city will verify the qualifications of participating youth, and workplaces will individually review hiring and notify their intention to match, with final selection on a first-come, first-served basis.
Workplaces wishing to participate should submit the participation application form and required documents to the Yangsan City Hall’s Civil Economy Division by 6 p.m. on March 21, either in person, by mail, or online via the responsible officer’s email, after posting a job vacancy for youth recruitment.
If the job application form attached to the announcement is submitted together with the participation application, the city will support job recruitment agency services in connection with the city’s job center.
Detailed requirements for workplace recruitment, youth job duties and working conditions, application methods, and required documents can be found in the ‘2025 Youth Work Experience Program ‘Yangsan Pre-Job Project’ Workplace Recruitment’ announcement posted under ‘Notices & Announcements’ on the Yangsan City website.
Selected workplaces will be announced on the Yangsan City website at the end of March, and youth participants will be recruited on an ongoing basis from the youth recruitment announcement date after the selected workplaces are announced until the project capacity is exhausted.
