Ulsan Ulju-gun will significantly expand its residents' safety insurance by adding new compensation items starting this year.
The residents' safety insurance automatically covers Ulju-gun residents (including registered foreigners) who have their resident registration in Ulju-gun without any separate subscription process. The insurance premium is fully covered by Ulju-gun.
The insurance covers accidents occurring within the country and can overlap with other insurance policies.
Starting this year, compensation of 10 million KRW each is provided for accidental death and permanent disability excluding traffic accidents, and a new accidental injury diagnosis benefit has been introduced. If diagnosed for more than 4 weeks after the accident, 100,000 KRW is compensated, and if diagnosed for more than 8 weeks, 200,000 KRW is compensated.
Claims for insurance benefits can be made within 3 years from the date of the accident, and inquiries can be made through the Ulju-gun Residents' Safety Insurance Integrated Call Center.
An Ulju-gun official said, “We have been operating the residents' safety insurance since 2019 to support Ulju-gun residents facing difficulties from various accidents and disasters,” and added, “We will actively promote the insurance benefits through various media so that many people can receive the residents' safety insurance benefits.”
