1,300㎡ Pet Dog Playground in Jinkwan-dong Mulpaere Neighborhood Park
Free Admission for Registered Pet Dogs
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will reopen the "Pet Dog Playground" within Jinkwan-dong Mulpaere Neighborhood Park, which had been closed for winter to prevent safety accidents and maintain facilities, starting from the 1st of next month.
The "Eunpyeong-gu Pet Dog Playground" is established on a 1,300㎡ area within Jinkwan-dong Mulpaere Neighborhood Park. Pet dogs that have completed animal registration can enter free of charge accompanied by their owners.
The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday every week. Starting this year, considering weather and sunset times, the hours will be extended by one hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in June and July, and shortened by one hour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in October and November.
To provide a safe play environment, the playground is divided into areas for large dogs and for medium and small dogs. Within the playground, there are shaded rocking chairs, pavilions, and outdoor mini bookshelves where owners can rest. Convenience facilities such as drinking fountains for dogs and waste bag dispensers are also provided. Additionally, the Eunpyeong-gu Pet Dog Playground features a unique indoor resting area where pets and owners can relax together and create joyful memories in a cozy space.
In particular, the Eunpyeong-gu Pet Dog Playground is designed to utilize the natural terrain of Mulpaere Neighborhood Park to stimulate the fun and interest of pet dogs, establishing itself as a healing spot in the city for both dogs and their owners.
Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, "I hope residents enjoy precious time with their pets while using the pet dog playground," and added, "This year, we will put more effort into spreading a mature pet culture through various pet education programs linked to the playground and by hosting pet culture festivals."
