On the 28th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will be mostly cloudy, gradually clearing up from the afternoon.


During the morning, the area will be affected by a trough passing over the southern seas of Jeju Island. Morning temperatures will range from 2 to 6 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between 10 and 17 degrees Celsius.


The morning lows are expected to be: Gokseong -5 degrees, Jangseong, Damyang, Hampyeong, Naju, Yeongam, Jangheung, Boseong, Goheung -4 degrees, Hwasun, Muan, Haenam, Gangjin -3 degrees, Gurye, Jindo -2 degrees, Gwangju, Suncheon, Gwangyang, Mokpo, Wando -1 degree, Shinan 0 degrees, and Yeosu 2 degrees Celsius.


The daytime highs will be: Gwangju, Jangseong, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Hwasun, Naju 15 degrees, Hampyeong, Yeongam, Jangheung, Suncheon, Gwangyang 14 degrees, Yeonggwang, Muan, Haenam, Gangjin, Goheung 13 degrees, Jindo, Wando 12 degrees, Shinan, Mokpo 11 degrees, and Yeosu 10 degrees Celsius, which will be higher than the previous day.


Waves on the West Sea and South Sea will range from 0.5 to 1 meter. Fine dust levels will be 'moderate,' while ultrafine dust will be at 'temporarily bad' levels until the morning.


An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "As temperatures have recently risen, the thawing ground has weakened, so please be cautious of ground subsidence, soil runoff, and landslides on roads or at construction sites."
