The Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival received the Special Program Award at the 13th Korea Festival Content Awards.
According to Jangseong County on the 27th, the festival is an event where one billion autumn flowers, including cosmos, zinnias, and sunflowers, adorn the Hwangryonggang River. Visitors can enjoy flower viewing along with hands-on programs, performances, and relaxation at the lawn plaza of Hwangryong Garden.
Local cuisine made with ingredients from Jangseong Mountain is also popular. Last year, the "Saessaksam Chicken Barbecue" received a great response.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "This was made possible thanks to the efforts of our residents and public officials," adding, "We will present an even richer festival to mark the Year of Visiting Jangseong in 2025."
