Train Travel Packages to Be Operated and Revitalized
KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters (headed by Kim Youngjin) announced on the 27th that it recently held a meeting to discuss tourism projects linked to railways in order to revitalize the region's stagnant tourism industry.
The meeting, held at Gwangju Songjeong Station, was attended by local governments such as Jeollanam-do and partner travel agencies cooperating with the railway. During the meeting, participants shared the current status of regional tourism connected to the railway, discussed its positive impact on the local economy, and explored ways to cooperate and create win-win strategies by operating unique and diverse themed products.
In particular, practical measures were proposed for operating and revitalizing train travel packages that can attract railway users to the region. The headquarters plans to actively promote the advantages of regional tourism linked to railways and encourage sustainable travel.
