91 Projects Worth 91 Billion KRW
Gwangyang City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 27th that it held a '2025 Contest and Award Project Discovery Briefing' in the city hall situation room on the 26th, presided over by Mayor Jung Inhwa of Gwangyang.
At this briefing, the city reported on the discovery results of a total of 91 projects and contest and award projects worth 91 billion KRW promoted by central government ministries, Jeollanam-do, and external organizations, and discussed key response strategies for each project.

In particular, the meeting emphasized the importance of a strategic approach to expanding participation in large-scale contest projects and achieving tangible results, focusing on thoroughly reviewing preliminary preparations and response plans for this purpose.
This year's planned contest projects include: ▲ New Village Project (25 billion KRW) ▲ Steel Industry AI Autonomous Manufacturing Leading Project (10.5 billion KRW) ▲ Gwangyang City Our Neighborhood Revitalization Project (8.3 billion KRW) ▲ Urban Regeneration Recognition Project (8.3 billion KRW) ▲ 2025 Rural Vulnerable Area Living Condition Improvement Project (6.3 billion KRW), among others.
Gwangyang City plans to hold additional discovery briefings throughout the year to continuously identify new projects necessary for securing future growth engines and regional development.
Mayor Jung Inhwa of Gwangyang said, "We must focus on actively discovering projects that are large in scale or have a higher ratio of national and provincial funding compared to city funding, and meticulously prepare in advance to ensure that our target projects are selected."
He added, "For award projects, we need to analyze the evaluation criteria technically and in detail to establish and prepare response plans. Both working-level staff and department and bureau heads must take the lead with the goal of achieving the highest honors in various evaluations."
