The People Power Party finalized the appointments for the Constitutional Amendment Special Committee on the 27th.
The Emergency Response Committee of the People Power Party held a meeting that day and nominated lawmakers Seong Il-jong, Shin Seong-beom, Cho Eun-hee, and Choi Hyung-doo as members of the Constitutional Amendment Special Committee.

Earlier, the Emergency Response Committee appointed Joo Ho-young, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, as the chairman of the Special Committee.
With the members of the Constitutional Amendment Special Committee confirmed, the People Power Party's committee is expected to begin full-scale activities.
At the Emergency Response Committee meeting that day, Kwon Young-se, chairman of the People Power Party's Emergency Response Committee, said, "The president's impeachment trial poses a challenge to us. If we do not resolve this, it will be difficult to expect progress in our society," adding, "To prevent further tragedies, fundamental institutional changes must be made." Regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol's statement during his final remarks at the impeachment trial expressing his intention to pursue constitutional amendment if the impeachment is dismissed, he said, "Since the president has expressed his willingness to sacrifice himself until the end of his term, this opportunity must be used to achieve constitutional amendment, including changes to the power structure."
