All-Out Efforts to Secure 133 National and Provincial Subsidy Projects Worth 218.5 Billion KRW for Next Year
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the '2026 National and Provincial Subsidy Budget Securing Strategy Meeting' on the 26th at the 3rd floor conference room of the government office, chaired by County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol, with over 90 department heads and staff members in attendance.

At this meeting, a total of 133 projects, including 64 new projects and 69 ongoing projects, aiming to secure 218.5 billion KRW in national and provincial subsidies, were reported on with detailed progress updates, and measures to secure next year's national and provincial budgets were discussed.
The major new projects discussed included △ Samsa Marine Park Shared Conference Construction with a budget of 16 billion KRW △ Wind Power Maintenance Field Workforce Training Center Construction with 6 billion KRW △ Support for Commercialization and Mass Production of Functional Bio-material Products Based on Bioactive Components with 4.8 billion KRW △ Yeongdeok Water Purification Plant Aging Facility Maintenance Project with 48 billion KRW △ Yeongdeok-gun Small-scale Sewage Treatment Facility Classification Project with 27 billion KRW △ Yeongdeok-gun Aging Sewage Pipeline Maintenance Project with 21.7 billion KRW.
Additionally, △ National Folk Cultural Heritage Goe-si Village Maintenance Project with 35.7 billion KRW △ East Coast National Trail Construction with 19 billion KRW △ Ok-gye Floodgate Area Maintenance Project with 10 billion KRW △ Yeongdeok National Geopark Ecological Trail Construction with 7.5 billion KRW △ Geumjin 1-ri Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project with 49 billion KRW △ Cheonjeon District Comprehensive Flood and Wind Damage Living Area Maintenance Project with 46 billion KRW, among 64 projects totaling 486.5 billion KRW in new projects, will be proposed to the government in phases.
Furthermore, ongoing projects such as △ Rural Agreement with 6.5 billion KRW △ National Road No. 20 Ganggu to Chuksan Road Construction with 21 billion KRW △ National Marine Species Restoration Center Construction with 16.6 billion KRW △ Gyeongbuk Smart Fisheries Processing Complex Construction with 9.5 billion KRW will be fully supported to ensure the projects proceed as planned by securing the necessary budgets.
Yeongdeok-gun plans to frequently visit central government ministries and the National Assembly to continue consultations in order to secure the targeted national and provincial subsidies. At the same time, it will establish customized response strategies aligned with the government budget formulation procedures and schedules, cooperating closely with related agencies.
Governor Kim Gwang-yeol stated, “Securing national and provincial subsidies is a key factor determining the sustainable development of local governments. Based on a thorough understanding of government policy directions, we will prepare tailored strategies for each project and actively utilize human networks to devote all efforts to securing national funds.”
