The Gwangju Office of Education is enhancing digital utilization in the educational field by introducing the AI-based teaching and learning platform 'Gwangju AI-ON' starting from the first semester of this year.

Gwangju AI-ON offers over 77,000 teaching and learning content items. It also provides access to 300,000 questions and 30,000 videos from EBS. Among the 17 city and provincial teaching and learning platforms nationwide, it offers the largest amount of content. Through this, students can engage in self-directed learning not only at school but also at home using smart devices. They can also review and participate in advanced learning.

The Office of Education held a training session on this day at the Gwangju Education Research and Information Institute for digital leading teachers. The session introduced optimization of the learning environment using the SSO function, how to utilize the eight edutech services, and real-life cases from teachers and students.

Kim Kyungsik, a teacher at Gwangju Usan Elementary School who participated in the training, said, "The login process used to be cumbersome," and added, "Using Gwangju AI-ON seems much more efficient." Park Hyein, a teacher at Gwangju Dongmyeong Middle School, stated, "The biggest advantage is that students can use edutech for learning not only at school but also at home."

Superintendent Lee Jungseon said, "We will support teachers and students so that they can effectively utilize the digital education environment."
