New CEO of Lotte Future Strategy Institute Appointed: Executive Director Seo Chang-woo

Lotte Group's think tank, Lotte Future Strategy Institute, announced on the 27th that it has appointed Executive Director Seo Chang-woo as the new CEO.

Born in 1976, the new CEO Seo is an expert who gained experience in business portfolio transformation and strategic consulting after working at Deloitte Consulting and A.T. Kearney, and serving as Head of Strategy at Hanwha Aerospace, Head of Strategic Planning at Hanwha Vision, and Head of the Americas subsidiary.

CEO Seo will lead the Lotte Future Strategy Institute, which establishes Lotte Group's mid- to long-term management strategies, proposing various solutions aligned with changes in the global business environment. He will also strengthen the role of providing the knowledge and insights necessary for discovering new future growth engines for Lotte Group and formulating promotion strategies.

Additionally, as Lotte Group's think tank, the institute plans to support group decision-making by proposing strategies for business turnaround, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and business portfolio advancement that align with the new group business vision. Based on his experience working at global strategy consulting firms and as head of overseas subsidiaries, he will also lead mid- to long-term global strategy consulting for Lotte affiliates to expand overseas markets.

Meanwhile, last November, Lotte shifted from a regular executive personnel system to an ad hoc executive personnel system to flexibly respond to global management uncertainties and enhance the speed and execution of business.
