Support for School Bags, Sportswear, and Stationery
Around 250 Children in Headquarters Areas Including Anyang and Cheonan
Seventh Year of the Child Sponsorship Campaign
LS ELECTRIC conducted a donation campaign to support the dreams and hopes of local children in celebration of the new school semester.
On the 27th, LS ELECTRIC held a handover ceremony for the 'LS ELECTRIC Dream Kit Support' project in collaboration with Good Neighbors, donating new semester supplies such as school bags and sportswear worth approximately 50 million KRW to low-income elementary school students.
The Dream Kits consist of school bags, auxiliary bags, sportswear, writing utensils, and other items necessary for students' studies and daily life. These kits will be distributed to about 250 elementary school students in the headquarters and business site areas, including Anyang and Cheonan, through Good Neighbors.
An LS ELECTRIC representative said, "We hope this new semester kit will help children who will lead the future generation to freely pursue bigger dreams, even if just a little." He added, "Based on our ESG (Environmental, Social Responsibility, and Governance) management philosophy, we plan to make sharing a part of daily life and prepare various programs that are easy to participate in."
Since 2019, LS ELECTRIC has been running the 'Let’s Start Together with LS ELECTRIC' campaign to support children, marking its seventh year this year.
This campaign is a social contribution program launched in 2019 to support local children and students so they can move forward vigorously toward the future with healthy bodies and minds in a safe environment, in line with LS Group’s social contribution philosophy of being a "reliable partner supporting the dreams of future generations."
LS ELECTRIC plans to actively discover and promote related activities, including planning various experiential programs such as learning mentoring in collaboration with local social welfare organizations, and producing seasonal items like fine dust masks and heating kits.
LS ELECTRIC is also supporting the development of an eco-friendly energy education program for Neulbom Schools targeting elementary students in the Gyeonggi and Incheon areas in partnership with Gyeongin National University of Education. Neulbom Schools provide various after-school care programs for students who want them from 7 a.m. before morning classes until 8 p.m.
