Event Held to Reaffirm Commitment to the Prompt Enactment of the "Special Act on the Construction of Aerospace Complex City"

The Jaegyeong Sacheon City Hometown Association conducted a performance urging the prompt enactment of the "Special Act on the Construction of Aerospace Complex City" at the 2025 New Year Greeting and Regular General Meeting.

This event was organized to reaffirm the determination that the legislation of the "Special Act on the Construction of Aerospace Complex City" must precede for the future development of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam.

The event was attended by members of the Jaegyeong Sacheon City Hometown Association, including key figures such as Park Dongsik, Mayor of Sacheon, who emphasized the necessity of enacting the special law. Attendees stressed that "the construction of an aerospace complex city is the future growth engine of the Republic of Korea," highlighting the urgent need for systematic support and legal grounds.

The main contents of the performance included ▲a keynote speech by Song Seonggwang, President of the Jaegyeong Sacheon City Hometown Association ▲chants urging the prompt enactment of the "Special Act on the Construction of Aerospace Complex City" ▲a placard performance containing the contents of the special law enactment ▲and a signature campaign.

A representative of the Jaegyeong Sacheon City Hometown Association stated, "Sacheon is a city equipped with core infrastructure for the aerospace industry, including the Aerospace Administration, and through legal support, a more robust industrial ecosystem must be established," adding, "We hope that this event will further spread public interest and sympathy for the enactment of the special law and that the National Assembly will promptly pass the special law."

Mayor Park Dongsik said, "The construction of the aerospace complex city is a key project to strengthen the competitiveness of the national aerospace industry beyond Sacheon City," and expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank the members of the Jaegyeong Sacheon City Hometown Association who support the construction of the aerospace complex city even from far away Seoul."
