Naver is launching a separate application for 'Naver Plus Store,' which provides an AI-based hyper-personalized shopping experience.
Jung Kyung-hwa, Product Leader of Naver Plus Store, explained at a business briefing held at the headquarters on the 25th, "We plan to launch a separate AI-based shopping app, Naver Plus Store, in the first quarter of this year," adding, "It will offer a unique hyper-personalized experience to all 50 million citizens."
Last October, Naver introduced Naver Plus Store with enhanced personalized features tailored to individual users. Currently available within the Naver app, the plan is to spin it off into a standalone app next month. The goal is to shift from goal-oriented purchases through traditional search to discovery- and exploration-centered non-goal-oriented shopping experiences by integrating AI.
A key feature highlighted is the 'AI Purchase Guide.' It is based not only on existing Naver Shopping usage data but also on data from all Naver services visited by users, such as blogs, Knowledge iN, and Clips. Lee Jung-tae, Leader of Naver Shopping Search & Discovery, stated that after introducing AI recommendations, product services and transaction volumes have increased three to four times.
Naver plans to initially equip the AI Purchase Guide as a beta version in Naver Plus Store. The strategy is to enhance it by comprehensively utilizing Naver's data to recommend products considering their characteristics and the context of users' purchasing behavior.
