About 20 people attended the meeting, including Councilor Kim, other members of the county council, representatives of care service organizations, elderly care workers, child care workers, and public officials from relevant departments of the executive branch.
Participants shared difficulties and areas for improvement encountered in the field, emphasizing the need for policy support such as improving the treatment of care workers to ensure the stable operation of care services.
Councilor Kim stated, "Although the importance of public care is greatly increasing, social awareness and treatment of care workers have not kept pace," and added, "Going forward, we will continue policy efforts, including enacting ordinances to guarantee the rights of care workers, so that Muan County can become a more care-friendly city."
