"We Have Never Received Any Unpublished Opinion Polls"

The office of Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon expressed relief over the news of the prosecution's search and seizure of Kim Han-jung, a supporter of Mayor Oh, amid allegations of secretly paying for a public opinion poll related to Myung Tae-gyun.

Lee Jong-hyun, Seoul City Public Communication Special Advisor, issued a statement on the 26th saying, "With today's start of the prosecution's search and seizure of Mr. Kim, the investigation is gaining momentum, and we hope for a swift conclusion."

Advisor Lee added, "So far, Myung Tae-gyun and his group have listed all sorts of provocative illusions and falsehoods," and emphasized, "Given the seriousness of the matter, the prosecution's investigation should have proceeded more quickly. Even now, the prosecution must expedite the investigation as much as possible and promptly present the results."

He continued, "It is a clear fact that during the 2021 by-election, the Oh Se-hoon campaign never received any unpublished public opinion polls from Myung Tae-gyun," and stated, "Since there was absolutely no benefit gained from Myung Tae-gyun's fraudulent and manipulated unpublished public opinion polls at that time, we reiterate that there is no 'Oh Se-hoon public opinion poll payment allegation' as well."
