Excellence of Traditional Arts and Local Culture Reaffirmed
The Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival, the representative cultural and artistic festival of Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 26th that it was honored with the Grand Prize in the Festival Cultural Heritage and History category at the 13th Korea Festival Contents Awards on the 25th, marking its fourth consecutive year of winning.
The Korea Festival Contents Awards is a prestigious ceremony hosted annually by the Korea Festival Contents Association to enhance the global competitiveness of local festivals and promote the development of the tourism industry.

The Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival in Boseong-gun operates a variety of programs such as pansori competitions, gosu competitions, and traditional Korean music performances, with performers from all over the country, contributing to the preservation and succession of traditional arts.
In particular, the festival received high praise for continuously presenting new content that harmonizes tradition and modernity, garnering enthusiastic responses from visitors.
An official from the county said, "The Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival winning the Grand Prize at the Korea Festival Contents Awards for four consecutive years demonstrates that Boseong's rich cultural heritage and traditional arts are receiving great interest and love nationwide. We will continue to do our best to inspire both local residents and tourists based on Boseong's unique festival culture, and to lead the advancement of culture and the arts."
Meanwhile, the 27th Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival is scheduled to be held from May 4 to 6, 2025, at the Boseong-gun Culture and Arts Center and surrounding areas.
