Suncheon City, World Heritage and National Heritage Information at a Glance

Establishment of a "Cultural Heritage" Menu
on the City Website

Suncheon City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 26th that it has completed the construction of the 'Suncheon Cultural Heritage Portal' on the 11th, enabling citizens and visitors to more easily access information about Suncheon's cultural heritage.


The newly established portal is a comprehensive platform that brings together all information related to Suncheon's cultural heritage, including national heritage, world heritage, cultural heritage facilities and events, Suncheon history, Digital Suncheon Culture Encyclopedia, and websites related to cultural heritage.

The National Heritage menu provides detailed information such as the type of heritage, designation date, photos, and location. The World Heritage menu offers explanations and registration details for world heritage sites such as Sansa (Seonamsa), the Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats, and Naganeupseong Fortress, including their registration periods and locations.


In addition, a convenient feature allows users to directly access the relevant website of each heritage site via QR code.


The Cultural Heritage Facilities menu introduces six cultural heritage-related facilities within the city, such as the Christian History Museum and the Seonbi Culture Experience Center, and provides information on how to use them. The Cultural Heritage Events menu allows users to view various cultural heritage events held in Suncheon City at a glance. Along with Suncheon history, the portal gathers cultural heritage-related websites from across the country to make them easily accessible for users.


A city official stated, "Through the establishment of this portal, we hope that citizens and visitors will be able to easily access Suncheon's rich cultural heritage and develop greater interest in it."
