Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) announced on the 26th that it has passed various criteria in the ‘2024 Internationalization Education Quality Assurance System’ (IEQAS) evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education, and has been selected as a certified university for the eighth consecutive year.

In particular, Yeungjin once again demonstrated its internationalization education capabilities by being the only college in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region to simultaneously obtain certification in two fields: degree programs and language training programs.

Yeungjin College, Certified for 'Internationalization Competency in Education' for 8 Consecutive Years... Simultaneous Certification in Degree Programs and Language Training Programs Foreign international students enrolled at Youngjin College are shouting "Fighting" as they participate in the 'Global Day' event.

The Internationalization Education Quality Assurance System is a program implemented by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education to prevent illegal stay of foreign students and to strengthen the internationalization capabilities of universities. Yeungjin has solidified its status as a prestigious global education university by obtaining IEQAS certification for eight consecutive years from 2018 to this year.

As a result of actively operating international exchange cooperation programs, Yeungjin College will have over 650 foreign students from 25 countries continuing their studies in the 2025 academic year. The distribution by country has expanded widely, including China, Japan, Mongolia, as well as Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and even T?rkiye (Europe).

Especially this year, a new customized curriculum guaranteeing employment after graduation in the IT and mechanical fields, called the ‘International Contract Class,’ has been newly established to strengthen practical employment support for foreign students.

Along with the IEQAS evaluation certification, Yeungjin College was also selected for the Government Scholarship Program for Foreign Students (GKS) hosted by the National Institute for International Education under the Ministry of Education. This program is a government-led scholarship that supports foreign students with tuition and living expenses to help them continue their studies stably in Korea.

Currently, about 40 foreign students from 15 countries are enrolled through the GKS program at this college, and 27 new students will be selected in 2025, further activating the multicultural campus environment.

Yeungjin operates various programs to promote interaction between foreign students and domestic students. Representative programs include ‘Global Day,’ ‘Korean Culture Experience,’ ‘Korean Language Short-form Contest,’ and ‘Korean Speaking Contest,’ which support enhancing global competencies in a multicultural environment.

Jeon Sang-pyo, Director of International Exchange at Yeungjin College, said, "Through this IEQAS evaluation certification, our college has laid the foundation to take a step forward as a global university," and added, "We will actively support foreign students so that they can adapt to life in Korea stably and focus on their studies."

Meanwhile, Yeungjin College actively supports overseas employment for domestic students. It operates overseas employment programs in the IT, mechanical, electronics, and tourism service fields, with more than 100 students employed annually at excellent overseas companies such as those in Japan.

As a result of these efforts, in the January education ministry’s higher education employment statistics survey, Yeungjin ranked first nationwide for overseas employment achievements among two-year and four-year universities. Over the past seven years (2017?2023), a total of 733 students have succeeded in overseas employment, and in recognition of these achievements, Yeungjin was also selected as the ‘Most Respected College in Korea in 2025.’
