This action follows the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s recommendation to strengthen protection for civil service workers by adjusting the disclosure of employee names on local government websites. It was implemented to protect employees from malicious complaints and to create a safe working environment.
Wonju City will delete only the employee names published in the organizational chart and employee guide on the website, while continuing to provide department names, job titles, phone numbers, and responsibilities as before, ensuring that related inquiries and work processes are not disrupted.
A Wonju City official stated, “Switching to private employee names on the website is to protect employees’ personal information,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that citizens do not experience inconvenience when using the website by providing accurate information and convenient services.”
