Aimed at Ages 40 to 69
Goal to Hire 112 People
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province is implementing the "Middle-aged Employment Support Project."
According to the province on the 26th, this project was established to support the stable employment of the middle-aged generation and to alleviate manpower shortages in companies.
This year, the province aims to support the recruitment of a total of 112 middle-aged individuals. If a local company hires a middle-aged worker, it will receive up to 700,000 KRW per month for one year, totaling 8.4 million KRW. In addition, middle-aged job seekers who maintain their employment will be granted a retention incentive of up to 2 million KRW.
Recently, the value of middle-aged workers with abundant experience and expertise has been newly recognized in the labor market, leading to increased utilization of middle-aged talent in various fields such as manufacturing, service, and technical positions. In particular, it is expected to be effective in alleviating manpower shortages in local small and medium-sized enterprises, where the inflow of young people is low.
Through this project, the province plans to expand the participation of the middle-aged in the labor market and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy. To this end, it will establish a customized consultation and support system for companies and job seekers, and maximize the effectiveness of the project through continuous monitoring.
Kim Intae, Director of Corporate Attraction Support at the province, said, "We expect the rich experience and capabilities of the middle-aged generation to become a key driving force for the growth of the local community and companies," and added, "We will actively support this project so that both companies and job seekers receive practical benefits and contribute to the recovery of the local economy."
