According to the county on the 26th, the 1st Shinan County Human Rights Committee for 2025 was held on the 24th, where the '2025 Shinan County Human Rights Protection and Promotion Implementation Plan' was reviewed and approved.
With the vision of 'Shinan of Communication and Solidarity in Human Rights,' the county has set four main goals to strengthen human rights administration centered on residents' participation: establishing a foundation for human rights systems, strengthening human rights education, expanding the guarantee of human rights in daily life, and realizing substantial human rights. A total of 48 detailed tasks will be promoted. Through these efforts, the county aims to enhance the human rights and quality of life of its residents and to realize a more transparent and participatory administration.
The key initiatives for 2025 include ▲strengthening the operation of the Human Rights Center and improving the counseling system ▲expanding policies to protect the human rights of salt farm workers, migrants, and vulnerable groups ▲expanding human rights education and cultural events and promoting resident participation. The county also plans to strengthen on-site human rights education by developing a variety of programs and educational materials that allow residents to experience and learn directly.
Kim Sua, Chairperson, stated, "Based on the active opinions of the committee members, we expect more advanced human rights policies to be implemented," and added, "We will continue to work together to create a community where human rights are respected."
To strengthen human rights protection, Shinan County will expand policies and educational activities to address blind spots in human rights, and will accept reports on violations or issues related to residents' human rights. Reports can be made at the Shinan County Human Rights Center or at each town and township office.
